Elizabeth Smith began her training at Woodbridge School of Dance. Throughout the years she has studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Pointe, and Modern. At the age of eight she started competing with Pure Energy Dance Team in the New York Metropolitan Area and has gone onto win numerous group and solo awards. During high school, Elizabeth attended Synthesis Dance Project’s Summer Intensive for three consecutive years. She continued her dance education at Rider University, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Dance. As part of the dance program she trained at the Princeton Ballet School which included taking class with the members of American Reparatory of Ballet (ARB) under the direction of Dr. Kim Vacarro. This unique partnership between Rider University and Princeton Ballet School gave Elizabeth the opportunity to perform on stage with ARB. While at Rider, Elizabeth performed in original works by Laney Engelhard, Angela Cusumano, and Dr. Kim Vacarro. While attending school, Elizabeth joined Diwakar Performing Arts Group, a Bollywood Dance Company. This experience allowed her to expand her knowledge of dance and perform nationally. Since graduating Elizabeth continues her training by taking classes at both The Princeton Ballet School and Broadway Dance Center. This has allowed her to take classes with Tracie Stanfield (BDC), Eric Campros (BDC), Douglas Martin (PBS/ARB), Geoffrey Doig-Marx (PBS), Shelia Barker (BDC), Jamie Salmon (BDC), Marc St. Pierre (PBS/ARB), Erika Mero (PBS/ABT), and many others.
